Daniel has a bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Engineering from the University of Toronto and an MBA from Western University. He is a professional engineer certified in Good Manufacture Practices (GMP), HACCP, ISO 9001, and ISO 13485 Medical Devices quality management systems. Since 2005, he has worked in the Natural Health Products (NHP) Industry specializing in Good Manufacture Practice (GMP) in manufacturing, regulatory compliance, quality management, product and site licensing. Before that, Daniel was the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of several health products-related organizations including OSCAR EMR, Ingle International, and Kela Medical.

Daniel has been involved in the quality management of Traditional Chinese Medicine before the (NHPR) came into force. He has helped numerous NHP site licensed companies establish Standard Operating Procedures, product traceability and product licensing application. He is a member of the Health Canada Advisory Council on Traditional Chinese Medicines from 2010-2012. In addition, he has experience with auditing support, compliance management and training in multiple quality management systems including Safe Food for Canadians Regulations (SFCR) and Good Agriculture Practices (GAP). He is also a certified CISM (Certified Information Security Manager) and a Privacy by Design (PbD) Ambassador.
