I have dedicated over 15 years to the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) industry, driven by a deep
passion for its practices. I earned a bachelor’s degree in Acupuncture and Massage from Guangzhou
University of Chinese Medicine. In 2014, I obtained a certificate of expertise, followed by the Assistant
Physician of TCM certification in 2015. With extensive experience working in the inpatient department
of a domestic rehabilitation center, I performed thousands of acupuncture procedures each month,
allowing me to rapidly accumulate clinical expertise. I excel at tailoring treatments to the unique needs
of inpatients by integrating diverse TCM therapies.
In my practice, I integrate traditional acupuncture with specialized techniques, including Zhiyun Bo’s
Abdominal Acupuncture Therapy, Jin’s Three-needle Therapy. I also skillfully combine acupuncture with
herbal medicine to enhance the efficacy of classic prescriptions. Additionally, I utilize auxiliary
therapies such as Zhaohan Zhang’s Origin Point Therapy (Yuan Shi Dian) and Shiyuan Zhong’s Yi-cupping
Therapy. These approaches, applied flexibly in the rehabilitation setting, have provided effective
treatment options for patients, earning recognition and appreciation from both patients and their families.
I am committed to continuous learning and professional growth, which has led me to explore grassroots
Chinese medicine hospitals and tertiary institutions to deepen my expertise. I have mastered various
moxibustion techniques, including foaming moxibustion, fire dragon moxibustion, wheat grain
moxibustion, thread moxibustion, ginger moxibustion, aconite moxibustion, direct pressing moxibustion,
thunder-fire moxibustion, and mid-August moxibustion. I also incorporate acupuncture methods such as
warm acupuncture, hanging moxibustion, and sparrow-pecking moxibustion, along with cupping
techniques like fixed cupping, moving cupping, flashing cupping, and bamboo medicine cupping.
Additional techniques, including bloodletting, patting, and thread embedding, further enrich my
therapeutic repertoire.
After moving to Canada, I completed a four-year Canadian Acupuncture Diploma (scoring 92.5/100)
and a Chinese Medicine Diploma (scoring 90.2/100) within just two years of study in English.
Additionally, I passed the BC Pan-Canadian Acupuncturist Examination within one year of the
enrolment of the TCM college. During my internship, I worked as a registered acupuncturist,
independently treating patients and contributing to the income of the college-affiliated clinic. My skilled
techniques and effective treatments have earned me recognition and praise from patients.
I am very grateful to all my teachers for their support on my path forward in TCM, which gave me the
opportunity to share my experience. Through my work in the rehabilitation department, I have realized
that traditional acupuncture alone can have limitations for patients with complex conditions. To address
this, I developed comprehensive acupuncture programs that combine body acupuncture, Bo’s Abdominal
Acupuncture Therapy, and Jin’s Three-needle brain-awakening Therapy. These integrative approaches have
proven highly effective in the rehabilitation of stroke sequelae, providing patients with a solid foundation
for long-term recovery and improved quality of life.
