Dr. John Yang Brief Bio: Dr. John Yang is a Registered Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine in BC. He is the current President of

the Federation of Traditional Chinese Medicine Colleges of Canada (ftcmcc.org) and the former

President at the Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture of British Columbia

(ATCMA, formally the QATCMA).

Dr. Yang has over 30 years of experience using acupuncture & herbs to treat patients with chronic pain,

emotional disorders, hormonal imbalances, infertility, gynecological issues, and more. His approach to

care includes taking time to understand the patient’s medical background history and current needs.

Dr. Yang is a TCM educator. From 2003 – 2014, he was the Dean and Clinic Director at the PCU College of

Holistic Medicine. Presently, Dr. Yang is the Chair of Traditional Chinese Medicine programs at Kwantlen

Polytechnic University. (kpu.ca/health/acupuncture/faculty/john-yang) As an expert in the field, Dr.

Yang has given many national and international presentations and lectures on TCM. Dr. Yang is a Visiting

Professor at the Shaanxi University of Chinese Medicine as well as Chengdu University of Chinese

Medicine, China.

Dr. Yang graduated from Hainan University Medical School in Haikou, China, received his TCM training at

Hainan Provincial Hospital of TCM, and earned his PhD from Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine.

杨光芳(Dr. John Yang) 博士是加拿大卑詩省注冊高級中医师。毕业于海南医学院五年制本科医学专

业（现改名海南医科大学）, 并留校获助理教授职位。曾在海南省中医院接受进一步的中医培训。

先后在加拿大 Capilano University 和 Simon Fraser University 进修学习，最后在广州中医药大学获得

博士学位。

移居加拿大 30 多年以来，从事中医临床，教学和中医药推广工作。前任卑詩省中医针灸师学会会

长，还兼任学术/教育委员会主席, 卑詩省中医和针灸师管理局（CTCMA）董事会董事，PCU 中医

学院院长（私立）。自从 2014 年在加拿大昆特仑理工大学 (Kwantlen Polytechnic University KPU)

筹建卑詩省第一间公立大学中医针炙系,并任系主任兼教授至今。现还任加拿大中医高校联盟会主

席，加拿大联邦政府国际标准委员会中医顾问成员，陝西中医藥大學和成都中医藥大學客座教授,

世界針灸学会联合会教育工作委員會理事。

杨教授现是温哥华中医診所國仁堂的堂主。专長把脉，处方中药和针炙療法。主治內科，妇科及

皮肤，伤科的疑难杂症。
