Professor Hao Jishun is currently the chief editor and translator of the core textbook series "Acupuncture and Moxibustion" of the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies (WFCMS), vice chairman of the WFCMS Traditional Chinese Medicine Education Steering Committee, vice president of the WFCMS Translation Committee, and president of the American Institute of Neuroacupuncture. He previously served as chairman of the Acupuncture Committee of the National Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture Examination in the United States, examiner of the New Mexico Traditional Medicine Examination Committee, chairman of the board of directors of the Southwestern College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in the United States, principal of the New Mexico Chinese School, and editor of English-language magazines such as *Discovery*, *Alternative Therapy*, and *Global Health and Medicine Progress*. Professor Hao is a world-renowned expert in scalp acupuncture. Since 1991, he has given nearly 100 lectures on scalp acupuncture to doctors of both Traditional Chinese Medicine and Western medicine in Australia, Germany, Denmark, Canada, Dubai, and major US cities including Washington D.C., New York, San Francisco, Orlando, San Diego, Seattle, Denver, and Houston, training thousands of scalp acupuncture professionals. Numerous American newspapers, radio stations, and magazines have interviewed and reported on Professor Hao's treatment of difficult and complex diseases with scalp acupuncture, including the Washington Military Medical News Star, *Alternative Therapy* magazine, Fox News Radio, Global Dragon TV, and *New Mexico Daily*. In 2015 and 2016, Dr. Hao represented the TCM community at the first National Conference on Integrative Medicine in the United States held in San Diego and the Global Conference on Integrative Medicine held in Germany, respectively. At the conferences, he spoke about scalp acupuncture for treating paralysis and cerebral palsy.

Chinese scalp acupuncture (CSA) is a contemporary acupuncture technique integrating traditional Chinese needling methods with Western biomedical knowledge of the anatomy, physiology, and pathology of the cerebral cortex. Scalp acupuncture has been proven to be more effective technique for treating paralysis. Scalp acupuncture often produces remarkable results with just a few needles and usually brings about immediate improvements. Scalp acupuncture is frequently used in the rehabilitation of paralysis due to stroke, multiple sclerosis, automobile accidents, Parkinson’s disease, cerebral palsy, autism, and post COVID syndrome. This lecture contains many case studies from Dr. Hao’s clinical practice and seminars. The range of his successful cases spans the past 44 years.
