Reshaping the Central Regulation of Pain: Brain Yuan Shen Acupuncture – A New Paradigm for Pain Rehabilitation Integrating Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine

脑元神针法在疼痛治疗领域的创新，标志着一次根本性的范式跃迁。它将中医最高的“守神”治则与现代神经科学的“中枢调控”理论深度融合，推动治疗策略从传统的 “外周通经络以止痛”，升维至 “中枢调元神以御痛”。 本疗法的超越性在于，其目标远非单纯“止痛”，而是旨在通过 “安神、通络、养髓、复形” 的整合路径，实现患者身心的整体康复。其理论从脑经脑络、脑髓元神系统理论出发，构建疼痛治疗的“脑地图”，是形-气-神”一体观与脏腑-官窍-经络-元神”整体调控理论在疼痛领域的系统表达。是将中医“元神”分区与现代脑科学“疼痛矩阵”精准对应的治疗模型。它不再将疼痛视为局部问题，而是将其定位为大脑特定功能网络的失调，并通过头部元神区刺激进行靶向调控。并应用于疼痛康复不同阶段中，结合现代医学对疼痛中枢机制的认识，探讨该方法在现代疼痛康复体系中的定位与意义。

The innovation of Brain Yuan Shen Acupuncture in the field of pain treatment marks a fundamental paradigm shift. It deeply integrates the highest principle of Traditional Chinese Medicine, 'Guarding the Spirit,' with the modern neuroscience theory of 'Central Regulation,' elevating the treatment strategy from the traditional 'peripheral meridian unblocking to relieve pain' to 'centrally regulating the spirit to control pain.' The transcendence of this therapy lies in the fact that its goal goes far beyond simply 'pain relief,' aiming to achieve 'calming the spirit, unblocking the meridians, nourishing the marrow, and restoring the body' through... This integrated approach aims to achieve holistic physical and mental rehabilitation for patients. Its theory, based on the theories of brain meridians and the brain marrow-spirit system, constructs a "brain map" for pain treatment. It is a systematic expression of the holistic view of "form-qi-spirit" and the holistic regulation theory of "viscera-orifices-meridians-spirit" in the field of pain. It is a treatment model that precisely corresponds the TCM "spirit" zoning with the modern neuroscience "pain matrix." It no longer views pain as a localized problem, but rather as a dysfunction of a specific functional network in the brain, and targets and regulates it through stimulation of the spirit area in the head. This method is applied to different stages of pain rehabilitation. Combining modern medical understanding of the pain center mechanism, this paper explores its positioning and significance within the modern pain rehabilitation system.
