Abstract

Bi syndrome is a type of disease caused by the invasion of wind, cold, and damp at the same time into the human body, resulting in symptoms such as soreness, pain, numbness, stiffness in the limbs and muscles, and even joint swelling and burning sensation. In the early and middle stages, the main pathogenesis is the loss of nourishment in the tendons, vessels, and joints, and the obstruction of Qi and blood, while in the later stages, the internal zang-fu organs may also be affected, making the pathogenesis extremely complicated and showing progressive or recurrent features. In addition to the use of Chinese herbal medicine to dispel external pathogenic factors, close cooperation with effective acupuncture treatment methods is necessary due to the extensive range of affected areas. The timely and reasonable use of the Eight Confluential Points can effectively treat Bi syndrome.
This presentation will focus on the advantages, indications, usage procedures, related acupoints, and case analysis of using the Eight Confluential Points to treat Bi syndrome, and thus share the author’s decades of clinical experience in treating Bi syndrome with everyone.
