Dr. Sanhu Wang was born in Heyang County, Shaanxi Province in July 1957. He attended Weinan School of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Nanjing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Fourth Military Medical University and graduated with a PhD in Traditional Chinese Medicine. In 1998, he was pointed professor at the Fourth Military Medical University. He is the recipient of numerous awards: Famous Chinese Medicine Doctor in Guangxi (2008); Famous Chinese Medicine Doctor in Shaanxi Province (2018); 7th Batch of Instructors for the Inheritance of Academic Experience of National Veteran Chinese Traditional Medicine Expert (2022). Currently he is a specialist of TCM at Weinan Central Hospital, a senior advisor for the development of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Weinan City, a distinguished expert of Shenzhen Baoan Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and a chief TCM oncologist of Xi’an Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine. He also serves as a member of the Expert Committee of Clinical Case Database of the Chinese Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine, an advisor to EAJFTCM (European Association of Jing Fang TCM) and the Swiss Chinese Traditional Medicine Association, and a doctoral supervisor of Five Branches University in California. Dr. Wang has trained more than 300 graduate students and inheritance disciples.

Over the years, he has insisted on combining TCM theory and practice, inheritance and innovation, and put forward new theories such as “mixed dryness and dampness induce cancer”, “blend of cold and heat causing cancer”, “anti-tumor effect of jinseng”, “retaining the root to fight cancer”, “lung cancer can be treated from the theory of pulmonary atrophy”, and “wind evil entering the interior to form tumors”. Many of his views have been published in the major papers, in textbooks, and guidelines. He has treated 20,000 domestic and foreign patients annually. He has published more than 230 papers, edited and co-edited more than 30 books. He is the author of five best-selling books, including “New Knowledge of Cancer Treatment with Traditional Chinese Medicine”, “Life with Jing Fang”, “My Jing Fang My Dream”, “Jing Fang Against Cancer”, “Chinese Medicine in the Fight against Cancer – Clinical Diary with Professor Wang Sanhu”. In recent years, training courses that focus on applying Jingfang to treat cancer have been successfully held at home and abroad for many times. In 2017, he received the award of “Most Influential Chinese Medicine Practitioner Award”. In 2018, he was awarded “Shaanxi Outstanding Chinese Medicine Practitioner”. In 2019, the “TCM Anti-Cancer Series Courses” was rated as the fifth batch of TCM inheritance courses by the Beijing Association of Chinese Medicine. In 2020, he was honored as “Good Doctor Trusted by Patients”. In 2021, he was the recipient of “Honorable Doctor of Healthy and Powerful Country”. He has set up Jingfang anti-cancer workstations in Beijing, Xi’an, Weinan, Shenzhen, Zibo, Taizhou, Jiamusi, and Qinghai.

Abstract

In his long-standing career as a TCM oncologist, Prof. Wang Sanhu has deeply appreciated that syndrome differentiation and disease differentiation are equally important in cancer treatment with Traditional Chinese Medicine. He took colorectal cancer as an example to demonstrate how classic formulas being used in the present time, and how specific diseases being targeted with special formula. In presentation, he introduced how to treat early, middle, and late-stage colon cancer and rectal cancer with the application of Yi Yi Fu Zhi Bai Jian San, Da Huang Mu Dan Tang, Da Huang Fu Zhi Tang, Bai Tou Weng Tang, San Wu Huang Qin Tang and Huang Tu Tang from “Synopsis of the Golder Chamber”.
